SLA Mapking Singapore Map for Windows Mobile Smartphone
If you’re a owner of a Windows Mobile Smartphone, head over to http://sla.mapking.com/ to download a free street directory right onto your phone / pda.
The map is powered by Mapking, so quality is pretty much assured. The map features the following:
- High quality digital maps with latest map database provided by SLA
- 2,000 buildings, 4,200 named roads, and 120,000 updated address points
- MapKing engine allows multiple search modes by index / crossing / Q-Find / POI / position / city / town / Lat / Long / keyword
However, since its free, do note the following limitations:
- The SLA StreetMap Mobile is neither routable nor navigable
- The SLA StreetMap Mobile does not support GPS
The limitations are in place so as not to cannibalize on Mapking own product. Nevertheless, it is still a great product to have on your windows mobile device as the POI info will be invaluable, and will be a great companion to Google Maps Mobile, which does support GPS.
