Download Embedded Videos from YouTube
You know videos from YouTube can be downloaded, however that’s not all. Basically any videos you see on the web can be downloaded and saved onto your PC regardless of what site you’re seeing them on, and it doesn’t require a geek to do it.
Install Firefox
The simplest way to download videos off the web is through Firefox and its add-ons. Refer to this post if you know noting about Firefox, otherwise download and install it.
Install Add-on
After Firefox is installed, run the program and from the menu bar go to “Tools” > “Add-ons” . The add-on window will pop up, go to “Get Add-ons” .
In the search box, type in downloadhelper hit “Enter “. You will then see the screenshot above, click on “Add to Firefox “

You will see the above window. Proceed with “Install Now “.

Once installation completes, “Restart Firefox “.
You will see this additional icon next to your address bar. The magic starts……

Go to any site with video streaming. When the icon “light up” click on the drop down arrow and you will be presented with the downloadable media on the page. Select it and save to your PC.
Playback of downloaded video
The file you downloaded will be in .flv extension, also known as the flash video format. If you have problems playing the file , check out this post .
Alternatively you can download FLV Player for playback of all these downloaded video. If you’re looking to embed these videos directly into your Powerpoint presentations, you will not be able to do so. As such, you will need to convert them to the .avi format, and this can be achieved by using Pazera Free FLV to AVI Converter WinFF .
Hope this helps. Good day.
